Brown transfer ?

I noticed on the Brown transfer website that it only requested transcripts from college work...does that mean that they don't look at your high school transcript? Are high school transcripts asked for on the actual application? Or am I just completely overlooking something on the website?

Thanks:)

I would like to know too !!

Why don't you call or e-mail Brown and ask? :)

I applied to Brown last year, and like any school of that caliber, they asked for the high school transcript. I don't remember where they made that specific exactly -- maybe it was on the secondary school form on the paper application -- but I'm fairly certain that you'll need to send it.

p.s. If you don't have money, don't make the same mistake I did by applying there. They offer nearly no financial aid to transfers, accept the ones that will pay the whole thing, shaft the ones that cannot.

I didn't call or email them because I felt like it was a question that would probably be answered on their website and I was just overlooking it...so I didn't want to waste their time with a question like that...whereas isn't a discussion board a place to ask questions? I hope I answered your question at least :).

It is too bad that they don't offer a better financial aid package to transfers, it really keeps out a lot of deserving people :(.

They're paid to help applicants. If something isn't clear just give them a ring. They're actually quite glad to help (unless it's busy time of year). :)

Is it really that bad, the financial aid for transfers? I've heard stories, but I rely heavily on financial aid, and am looking at Brown as one of my transfer choices. But, if it's true about that, maybe I shouldn't look into it if I'm not going to get in because of my ability to pay, and if I do, then receive practically nothing?

Bump .

financial aid was increased for transfer students for the fall of 2005, but it was something like 200,000$, which is not much for such an expensive school.
