Declined waitlist.
This year’s transfer waitlist is a sweet rejection. One of my friend’s relatives work at the brown admission and said they already accept way more transfer students this year than they initially planned. Last year almost no one comes off the transfer waitlist.
Feel there is no point to waste more emotions…move on to the college that actually wants you

Oh and stats:
College: Top 40 Public
Concentration: Earth and Planetary Science
College GPA: 3.85 (with several A+ grades, doesn’t count towards GPA)
HS GPA: 9.71/11, 10.47/11 senior year. Phillips Exeter Academy graduate. Poor junior year due to family difficulties.
SAT: 1570
SAT II: Math II — 780, Chem — 760, Spanish w/ listening — 700
Three Recs: Tenured geology professor I am conducting upper division department-approved independent study with. Wrote a rec specifically for Brown. 10/10. Comparative literature professor 10/10. High school math teacher 10/10.
Extracurriculars: Number of leadership positions within biology and chemistry. Club rowing.
Essays: Put a month into my common app essay and supplements. I normally get A+ grades in writing classes, so I’m sure I was very compelling.
Extra: I’m a UK/USA dual citizen, who is a resident of California, grew up in England, and went to high school in New Hampshire. This diverse background probably caught their eye.

@loease I did as well. I’ve heard mixed things, some saying that there’s a very slim chance. But hey it can’t hurt to try right?

I haven’t heard anything yet 
I contacted the admission office and the officer replied: “All wait listed applicants will be notified once the process has concluded.”
Well that doesn’t help much I guess lol
“We anticipate the process will conclude by late June.” There are what they sent to me.
that sounds to me like theyre not taking anyone off the waitlist… because the email we all got stated we’d get notified by early june

Out of curiosity, if accepted, will you accept the admissions? It seems like everything becomes last minute for all the paperwork and potential housing that we have most likely already completed for another school
