***Brown University 2018 Transfer Students Official Discussion Thread***

@SmartJarhead I’m in a pretty similar situation to you (veteran applying to Brown), did you attend the Warrior Scholar Project or anything similar?

@jimothyhalpert I wanted to but didn’t have a chance because of work, did you go?

@SmartJarhead ah the real world w/o 30 days of vacation is rough lol. I’m going to one of the STEM courses in July, seems like a good opportunity.

@jimothyhalpert Nice! Which campus?

@SmartJarhead the University of Arizona in Tuscon. You should definitely apply next cycle, from what I’ve read its useful even after you start going to a large University. I’m just glad to see other service members aiming high with their educational goals. What made you decide to apply to top schools?

@Rob3223 yes, but I think they’re just incompetent. Heck of thing to apply, get everything in on time, then wait on pins and needles, for…nothing. They didn’t even know she had applied…cashed the check, but that’s about it. Then all the slots were already given out, and they said they would “review her application” once they found it. It was a no, no surprise.

Does anybody have click here decision button?

wait when do we think decisions are coming out?

May 10-12th is usually when they upload decisions, but for some reason I feel like a lot of schools are running late this year?

I don’t have the click here for decision button, only the fin aid button. Speaking of which, has Brown pulled/requested IDOC or additional fin aid forms from anyone? For freshman admissions this year it seemed to be a predictor of admission.

@ivcstudent do you have that click here button?

I have no request from Brown for IDOC as of yet.

I do have a new required document request from Brown. I am an international applicant. Any idea what it implies?
I called the financial aid office. They told me the form isn’t required and to ignore it.

Did you apply for aid? @positivemax

Hey guys, has anyone gotten accepted so far?

@jerrythemoose Nope, Brown doesn’t roll admissions, I believe its all released on one day. We were speculating next week.

Yes, I did apply for financial aid. @AnArcticMonkey

Is anyone else here required to fill the extra IDOC form?

@jerrythemoose If I had to guess, I’d say probably next Thursday based off of prior year’s decisions.

How do you find out that an IDOC document was requested?
