Even as an URM, I think it may be difficult due to your GPA. However, I’m not an admissions officer so I don’t know- maybe being from one of the top ranked private schools will compensate for the GPA, as well as your background of being homeless. However, I would strongly advise you to have match and safety schools. There is nothing wrong with aiming high as long as you understand that Brown is a reach for anyone and as long as you have other schools on your list.

Also sat score low. However the other hooks may help you over come the low Gpa and sat scores, but it is Ivy League so I would keep your options open.

Hey I’m a current black freshman at Brown and I would say don’t stress about it too much. It sounds like you care incredibly about those around you which is an important trait here. Show this authenticity in your interview including your passions and problems and whatever happens you seem like you will be successful (I mean you have a higher sat score than I did!) :slight_smile:
