@ricka8 for stats: as I’ve stated on this thread before, my GPA is 4.0 UW/ 4.79 W, and my ACT is 34 super scored (36E 33M 31R 34S 30W) and Brown only looks at highest subs I don’t want to list all of my ECs but they can be found on my old Chance threads.
@012199 thanks for the reply. mine has three tabs. when i go under the Personal Tab (first one), there is a list of 4 items, the fourth being Meal Plan Contract Changes and Cancellations. If I click that I get what I have below. I DID however, do a Summer at Brown Program years ago and wonder if that is why I can access so many things, thorough this portal and other ways also. Just wondering…I am using my brother’s account for CC from a few years ago. He went to NYU Stern and they were able to tell if they got in by seeing changes in the portal and they were able to access different things like housing and classes once admitted but before the decisions came out. I am probably reaching by looking…
I guess I will just sweat it out for another two weeks too.

i’m expecting the worst but hoping for the best. i also think getting estimates (which might be misleading coming from peers) and seeing other people’s stats is just gonna induce more stress, tbh. at this point, everything’s out of our hands, so just stay positive!
@IloveNYU7 Yeah, it’s definitely from the summer Brown thing you did. I did one at JHU and still can access my online account as an enrolled undergrad student there.
I agree with @littlemousling. It’s really all a crapshoot in the end…
@ap012199 My stats are similar (on my chance me threads) and I’m guessing with the 22% ED acceptance rate, minus the athletes so about 15%, that my chances are about 30%. I think I had pretty good essays so that would help (but you never know of course)!
@littlemousling…btw, my portal reads the same as yours regarding processing…
@IloveNYU7 I do think that you’ll be able to see if you got in before an official decision comes out. The tabs usually change a couple days before an official decision comes out. If they change, it probably means that you got in. Not sure if this is true for Brown, though.
Yeah, Brown is a crapshoot for everyone besides athletes and developmentals no matter what one’s stats are. I’ve already decided to apply ED2 to Pomona if things go really bad with Brown…
@ap012199 Do you think Pomona and Brown are similar? I might apply to Pomona but I’ve never visited and I don’t know much about it so tell me if you know!
Pomona is an AMAZING school!
Congrats!
@ricka8 yeah, there’s a lot of overlap between the two. A lot of people say that Pomona is for Brown rejects, but I honestly like it 99% as much as Brown. It’s super close though. What sucks in my case is that Pomona likes SoCal applicants to interview on campus but I couldn’t sign up for one because there was no room left, which might hurt my admission chances. My GPA is high and my ACT is in the 75th percentile, so I hope that’ll pull me over.
Do you know ‘HOW’ they change? Like what to expect?
@IloveNYU7 there will probably be more tabs for accepted students. I would think that Brown would be wary of giving away the results, though.
Thanks…
@ap012199 But it doesn’t have an open curriculum does it? And does it have the same down to earth, happy, activist, non-preppy vibe?
My portal just has one tab that says “Student.” For those who see more tabs, what do they say?
@greeksalad123 student, personal, and financial aid I think
@ap012199 I’m applying to Claremont McKenna and if I don’t get into Brown ED, I would love to go there. Maybe we’ll both end up on the Claremont campus!
@greeksalad123 haha cool!! Are you from CA and did you interview?
