I live in the Bay Area, and I had my interview yesterday (it was a group interview).
forgive my ignorance but what’s a group interview? If it is what it literally means, how does it even work?
@RUHTRA999 it’s just a lot of applicants from around the same geographical area and similar schools are given a chance to interview (one-on-one) with an alumni but at the same time and same place
I also got an invite for a Minneapolis area group interview, but I won’t be able to make it. They said they’d try to set me up with a phone or Skype interview.
I was stupid and I RSVP’d for the NYC area interview, but I forgot to save the address. I tried to click on the link again, but it’s now closed. Can anyone send me the address? (for February 4th)
What’s a group interview?
Does everyone get the interview? What about for those who live in smaller cities?
@rsmith0208 Not everyone gets an interview. It depends on the availability of alums in the area.
how long does it take to process everything? or should it all show date received already? because my portal doesn’t have my recs or anything registered even though all of my other schools are checked?
Brown said they will accept the test scores reported on the transcript as official scores, so I didn’t order score reports.
On my checklist, however, my test scores are missing.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Should I contact Brown?
@vlnml1616 Feb 4 NYC interview is at 229 W 43rd Street. It is the MongoDB HQ. Good luck
no interview requests from any ivys yet… a little concerned haha
yeah me neither @shiftydraw
Don’t worry about not getting interview requests. I’m sure it has nothing to do with you as an applicant but rather the area you live in or even the school. Also, some of the ivys give more interviews than others. I believe brown, harvard, penn, and cornell are more likely to give interviews than the others.
Hey guys, I uploaded a supplementary file to my application. When I hit upload, it took me to another page that said file uploaded, but when I went back to my application portal I didn’t see any recognition of a supplement being submitted. Is that how it works or did mine not actually submit?
@moovyskool yeah it doesn’t appear on the portal
Question: if I’m dual-enrolled in other colleges, does Brown require official transcripts from the colleges attended?
Thanks!
@RUHTRA999 If those courses do not show up on your high school transcript sent by your counselor then you will need to send them.
@676339784 They do show up on my high school transcript. Thank you.
was anybody else’s interview just a long list of bizarre/ambiguous questions? my interviewee had a sheet with a list of probably 40 or so questions, none of them related to Brown at all. I definitely enjoyed the interview and it was a good experience and I think that the interview went well, but there were no specific questions about Brown university or my extracurriculars at all. I really wasn’t able to discuss Brown at all. It was much different than I expected, heard about, or experienced from my other interviews
