I stumbled across the Brown University summer online courses and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with any of the courses? I am thinking about doing the 4 week biomechanical engineering course. I think my biggest question is, is it competitive to get into these? I know summer courses are usually competitive but as it’s an online course, does most everyone who applies get in?
Any other tips/ information definitely appreciated 
@astromae2001 : Unlike real college applications, there is no statistics showing if it is competitive to get in a Brown summer online course. We have taken a life science course and it was a great experience. You need to write an essay and put together a mini application. And yes, Brown knows who attends the summer online courses. My child is a happy Brown freshman today using the same Brown account used in summer 2016. Brown’s online courses are designed as small seminar-style courses that facilitate close communications between students and instructors – and between and among students. You won’t be disappointed if you can get in.
