<p>They said they will have an update Friday afternoon for the transfer waitlist (so really Monday or Tuesday) ā¦ UGH!</p>
<p>Has anyone got any confirmation that the Adcom has received your letter or email with your wish to stay on the waitlist?</p>
<p>I received a letter in the mail, but I mailed off a letter, so thatās probably why.</p>
<p>I have a gut feeling no one will get off the wait listā¦ But Iāll call for an update around 3 to see what the lovely man from admissions has to say about us!</p>

<p>As a prospective Fall 2014 transfer applicant, how do you think the higher-than-anticipated yield rate will affect transfer admissions next year? Will Brown lower the number of freshman admits in the belief the yield rate will remain high? Will that result in fewer transfer admits?</p>
<p>Transfer admit and freshman admit rates arenāt related, so donāt worry. It depends on the retention rate of sophomore and junior rates, depending on which class youāre transferring into. That said, Brownās freshman yield rate this year was higher than expected, which means that there might be less slots available. It mostly depends on their retention rate. (I hope that made sense.) <p>Of course, admissions is closed now and Iām waiting til Mondayā¦ but they wouldnāt call to reject all the applicants, would they? Iām losing it, haha.</p>
<p>I canāt imagine they would call to reject applicants! They may have been calling to admit you or call for some more information, but it seems to me that congratulations are in order :)</p>
