I'm pre-med student, applying as a transfer student in a couple months, and I've already chosen 2 "reaches" to apply to (Stanford and Duke - those won't change) but I want to apply to one more. Now it's between Brown, UPenn, Columbia, and Northwestern. Out of these 4, which do you think I should choose? Primarily I want one that will allow me the best chance at getting a good GPA while leaving enough time for the EC's that I'm passionate about. Other factors to consider are nearby medical center (easy to get research/shadowing/volunteering opportunities), small class sizes (easy to get to know professors), collaborative student body, low percentage of students in Greek life, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

All of these have great programs! You will get a great education at any of these schools, however it seems as though you are looking for an easier course load. None of the top schools are easy but I think Northwestern is your best shot.

In terms of pre-med programs and university hospital opportunities I would rank the schools in the following order:
- Columbia 2. UPenn 3. Northwestern 4. Brown

Granted they are all amazing programs and you can’t go wrong with any of them. Unfortunately, as a tranfer student you will be unable to apply to Brown PLME or Northwestern HPME.
