Just posted this at Cornell threads - re-posting here.
Trying to advice a high school senior who is considering applying Early Decision to either Brown University or Cornell University. He intends to major in engineering - possibly engineering/physics or biomedical engineering. Seems really interested in research. Thoughts? My quick internet search suggests that Cornell is a better fit but what do I know?!!
There have been several discussions about Cornell v Brown engineering on this Brown forum; I suggest doing a search to find them.
Cornell’s engineering program is huge. So more classes, more students, more professors. Brown’s program is more entrepreneurial and there are benefits to its smaller size in terms of interactions with professors, for example.
Thanks! I’m kinda new to this forum and so it hadn’t occurred to me to search! I did find some interesting info.
