Brown VPN access issue - help!

How does one sign into the Brown VPN network with Google Chrome, and then configure one’s SSH client to go through Brown’s VPN?

When I try to use Brown’s VPN with Chrome, I get this error message below. I’ve already allowed plugins and pop-ups, and I’ve tried moving the file into the Chrome plugins directory (C:\Users\wipe\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\Plugins ), but that doesn’t work at all.

Then I try Firefox, and then the F5 Networks Firepass host Plugin has crashed! ***.

Does anyone know what to do? Thanks!

And when I continue without allowing plugins, I get this message below:

This is probably a question for Brown CIS. I’ve never needed the VPN.

Chrome is not a supported browser for web-based VPN. You will have to use your computer’s native browser (Safari or IE in most cases).

If you wish to use Firefox or Chrome, you will have to download the desktop-based client from software.brown.edu. If you’re just using library resources, you can skip those steps altogether and use EZProxy from the library homepage.
