Help! I was recently admitted to Brown from the waitlist but I am currently committed to Columbia. I really like Brown and Providence, but since matriculating at Columbia, I’ve gotten excited about the school and the city. I’m looking to major in English/International Relations. Anyone have any advice?

go with your gut
btw, both english and international relations at brown are fantastic

The Watson Institute for International Studies
Brown University Department of English

Another thing to consider is the curriculum. Columbia has the core requirements whereas Brown grants you absolute freedom in terms of course load.

yeah, Core Curriculum vs. New Curriculum are about as different as you could possibly get.
