Brown VS UPenn

Hello everyone, anyone has any idea is Brown or UPenn(Sceince & Arts College) easier to get in? Which school emphasise more on academics?

Brown is more selective than UPenn CAS in numbers. I also think Brown is harder in the sense of being a little unpredictable. Both are fine schools, depends on what you’re looking for. Brown is certainly more unique in atmosphere but Penn is a great school nonetheless. Academically, Brown is better for undergrad (smaller classes, more accessible professors, undergrads get a much greater share of university resources like teachers/research positions etc.) than Penn unless you want to do business at Wharton.
Other great uber-selective schools for undergrad are Princeton, Dartmouth and Yale.

Don’t pick it on whether you think you have a better chance, because you can end up being rejected at both. Visit if you can and check out the vibe. No matter how much people tried to convince me that both schools were essentially “the same,” I definitely felt a different overall environment at UPenn than I did at Brown. That’s not to say that someone wouldn’t fit in at both, but some people find that they fit in at one more than the other.
