Do all wait listed students who were admitted accept a place?

@lime20002001 no, because they might be accepted off a waitlist at another school; like someone said some people stay on just as a “trophy acceptance”; and some people who get “z-listed” might prefer to start in the fall rather than take a gap year so they turn the spot down

And others would love to go there, but the financial aid might not be enough. That is why I am praying that if I am admitted, I receive sufficient financial aid. Fingers crossed :S

Madd06 my point exactly, I don’t think the % of each class derived by kahmerve from the wait list from 2004 to 2008 is accurate as it probably overstates the actual % (and places available) for the very reasons you cite

Do you think waitlist acceptances could come out at the same time as transfer acceptances? Transfer decisions are going to come out on Tuesday…

@astrogirl they are gonna be coming out in batches throughout the month and possibly into June

There is no reason to believe undergraduate waitlist decisions and transfer decisions are at all correlated.

I know. I meant the first wave of acceptances. Of course they aren’t correlated. I was just throwing a random date this week.

Yes agreed. I just meant there’s no reason why the dates would be correlated either. Disclaimer- I’m not an expert.

Exactly I’m not an expert either! Lol we’ll just have to wait, hope for the best and see! :D

Did anyone talk to the admission office? Would they be willing to tell you what your chances are?

When are the results due release??? already getting sick #:-S

I would think it better not to call them and ask what your chances are… Just doesn’t seem “right” for some reason.

Do you expect the decisions today? any feelings?

I hope it’s soon! Has anyone heard anything yet?

No… The suspence is killing me !

In 2010 waitlist post, somebody wrote I’ve just got off the waitlist on 13th of may. So…

@Kahmerve…I hope you not playing with our feelings here…you mean tomorrow???
