@sumaita7 that’s great news! did they say when they would announce the first wave? do you think some people have heard already?
@sumaita7 ahh that’s good news! wishing all of you luck! last year people got calls on the 10th, the year before on the 12th (based on past CC threads) - here’s hoping some of us hear this week!
Aw brilliant!!
I wonder how many spaces they have available for waitlisted students…?
They didn’t mention the first wave, but I don’t think anyone has heard just yet. I think we will just have to wait, but based on the fact she said there are “some” offers, I’m guessing the amount will range from maybe 1-50. Hopefully, there are a lot of spots left and people rejected the waitlist offer Lolll
@sumaita7 Ahhh okay. If they keep a similar structure each year then I reckon the first wave will be by the end of the week?? I can’t help but constantly check for updates etc., but trying not to get my hopes up as I’m an int’l student applying for aid so they have a strictly limited amount. A girl can still dream perhaps…! Best of luck x
Thanks, you too! And don’t worry, I obsessively check for updates. It helps to email the office every now and then for updates or call them directly!
Do you think I should e-mail my regional officer? Or do you think it will just annoy them getting the same questions 1038573 times?
Got an email from the assistant director of admissions acknowledging my LOCI. So I guess that’s good and means they are still reviewing the wait list.
I think it’s okay to inquire; sometimes people get different responses
johonmilla: Did you send a LOCI earlier last month to Brown or this is your first one?
Same here. I got an email from my regional AO.
@ritarta @johonmilla did y’all upload your letters to your portals or send them to your AOs?
@lighthouse1a1 both.
According to the last two years of threads on CC, Brown released their first wave of decisions the second Tuesday of May. Maybe none of us here received an acceptance? I really hope they come out tomorrow as Brown is my dream school but idk.
@ScaredofSchool After getting rejected at Yale today bc they decided not to use their waitlist, I wouldn’t be surprised if Brown followed suit
Apparently Harvard didn’t use their waitlist this year either. RIP
I see an uncanny trend
yikes. definitely discouraging, but hopefully @sumaita7 's intel and the AOs confirming receipt of LOCIs today are signs that brown is in fact reviewing applications from the waitlist
Not all hope is lost because a lot of people are getting off Princeton’s waitlist according to the Princeton thread. Hopefully Brown follows Princeton’s example rather than Yale’s.
