Brown writing suppements

Hi.

There were few questions I had Problem with.

**

  1. We all exist within communities or groups of various sizes, origins, and purposes; pick one and tell us why it is important to you, and how it has shaped you.
    **
so, what am I to write. Shall I say why being a member of a say, scout or a Model UN shaped me. and why that is important to me. Can it be, how being a part of a particular creed shaped my ideologies?

**
2. I felt like I truely belonged when …
**
Can I write, …when I saw some one recieving nobel prize or pulitzer prize or sth like that?

**
3. Engineering (Limit your total response to 500 words.)

Many applicants to college are unsure about eventual majors. What factors led you to your interest in Engineering? (Feel free to elaborate on your response to question 2.)

What experiences beyond school work have broadened your interest?

Brown offers programs in Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Materials, and Mechanical Engineering. Since there is a common core curriculum within Engineering, students need not select a specific area until their junior year. We are curious to know, however, if any particular program within Engineering presently appeals to you. If so, please discuss that choice.

**
Is the word limit 500 words for all three questions combined?

Thank You.

And YEs,
for the I felt I truely belonged when… question,
how does writing … when I had a campus tour of Brown? or I was watching video of Brown… Will that be a little unethical in a sense that I am trying to gain their favour?

For the first two, you really need to decide what to write on your own. Make it something you actually believe - it’s about them understanding who you are.

For the engineering supp: yes, the total response is 500 words, for all three questions combined.
