bump. chances please!

bump!!!

I’d say you have a pretty good chance. It’s definitely a reach for brown, but it’s possible. Your SAT could be a little higher, but your ECs are great and your letters will be great, and your GPA is there. The thing is with those Ivies, you could have a 2400 on SAT with a 4.0 and be president of ten clubs and they still might defer or reject you. It’s very touchy. I would definitely apply to some safer schools, but keep Brown in the mix! Motivation and will to learn along with leadership skills should be stressed on your app to increase your chances!

In post #4: " The thing is with those Ivies, you could have a 2400 on SAT with a 4.0 and be president of ten clubs and they still might defer or reject you."

Only change I’d make to that is that that it would PROBABLY reject you.

Ivies are a reach almost everyone

Apply if you wish . . . you might get in . . . but with open eyes:

Brown rejects
~ 76% of Valedictorians
~ 85% of those with a 750-790 CR
~ 86% of those with a 750-790 M

Thanks guys. Any other chances?

bump!!!

Could I get some more feedback? Thanks!

You seem to have a decent shot of getting in, but is really hard to say anything for ivy leagues. I know people in my school who has 2400 SAT rank top 1% with many APs and extracurricular activities and not getting into any ivy leagues, including Brown. Then I have another friend who got 2040 on SAT top 10% in school with only 5 AP classes taken. He got into Cornell. But you should definitely give it a shot and apply early if you are really interested in Brown.

Thanks for the reply!
