When do we (incoming first years) hear about whether or not we got into Brown?? It said June 4th on the application but maybe that changed. Or maybe it was July 4th...

I think it is June 4th.

Too bad they aren't up yet. It proly has been pushed back for a while...

Glad to see I'm not the only one waiting to find out... I was afraid they just kinda let you figure out for yourself that you aren't in... that or they didn't get my app.

btw... I missed the deadline for housing contract (june 2nd) but it let me submit an app on june 4th... what does this mean?

It probably means housing was BSing you on when the contract was due- or your application will be processed last and you won't get what you want (maybe end up in Hereford?)

Housing put the deadline REALLY early for Brown applicants. Anyway, we reviewed the applications and for incoming first-years, you are all lucky since the intake was increased by stupid housing to 45. In conclusion, we only rejected 2 guys and a few other girls. I hope you are not one of them. The applications this year were not that great but as usual there were a few that were really outstanding and interesting to read. Sean, the admin for Brown website will post results soon....

Results are up!

Congratulations to those that got in! :) But, usually, there are a few guys and girls [maybe a total of four at most] that decline Brown's offer. So don't give up hope if you are waitlisted. Look forward to seeing you guys in the fall!

tenniscraze: any idea when I will hear? I'm a transfer student applying to Brown.

Is your name on the transfer list?

I don't know. Where is the list? I'm dematre on AIM; feel free to instant message me.

So my name is on the top of the upperclassmen list, does that mean when you guys pull from the waitlist that I get pulled first or is it random? And I was destined to be on the waitlist no matter what applyin as a transfer right?

I applied as a transfer student and my name is not on the upperclass males list. I submitted my application via e-mail, in PDF format.

The trend has always been - and don't take my word for this - to pull people off the waitlist from the highest order. So I would imagine that you will likely taken off the waitlist if space becomes available.
woo go brown!! i guess i need to make you guys those cupcakes i promised. ;)
