Brown's Campus

What is the campus like? Is it big? Are all the buildings air conditioned and have decent insides? Are there sports arenas (basketball courts) and skating rinks? Are there lots of green spots? Do you see people playing frisbee on a avergae day or are they too busy studying? How long on average does it take you to get to class? Is the surrounding area safe?

skating rinks? are you serious?

Collegebond78, I know the application process is very stressful and you are thinking for ED 2008. You have alredy asked some of this stuff before .. so I do not see the purpose of asking them again ( dorms, surroundings, etc )

As far as the skating rinks, people playing frisbee on an average day...etc...are you serious dude??

I think Brown has an amazing campus. I love the green spaces and Thayer street is awesome.

I saw somebody in the other thread ask those questions.

There is a rink in downtown Providence and our hockey rink may be open to students at some point but I'm not really sure when...

If they were asked in another thread I'm sure they were answered there...

wheres the thread? im curious too...well about some of the op questions

lol, I'm not sure why people are jumping on him for the skating and frisbee questions - I think they're perfectly fair.

Skating rinks: I hope you mean ice skating, in which case, I think the hockey rink is open for skating on certain days.

Frisbee: Brown has a nationally-acclaimed Ultimate team and people play frisbee a ton! However, on an average day? No. And that has nothing to do with work-load, it has to do with the fact that in the Northeast there's this long, annoying thing called "Winter" that gets in the way of certain outdoor activities.
