Brown's features

Hi guys, I wanna ask if Brown has any school color (like Princeton - orange, harvard - crimson…) or is brown the color? Also, is there anything representative or symbolistic of Brown? things that you’ll immediately think of when you talk about Brown???

Highly appreciate any inputs. THanks!!!

Brown and red are the school colors. It's mascot is the Bear (the Brown Bears).

Is that what you're looking for?

Josiah Carberry, the traveling professor of psychoceramics (cracked pots) ;)

thanks. The colors are what I'm looking for but I still don't know the Bear you're talking about justpetehere. Is there pictures on the school website?

thanks a lot justpetehere. Now I know exactly what is Brown's red and brown like :-)

Hi, I just wanna have 1 quick question: What are the stronger departments at Brown?? I don't find this anywhere in the materials I have. And also, this sounds like a really silly question but I honestly don't know: is a Brown student called a Brunian? (like Harvard student = Harvardian, Swarthmore student = swarthy, ...)

Thanks for any inputs!!

Brown students are Brunonians.

And Swarthmore students are "Swatties" not Swarthys.

I kind of like Swarthy! It reminds me of pirates, or Italians.

thanks!!! how about the stronger depts at Brown? Brown is well known for its humanities programs right? And they include...? Anyone know? :)

The humanities, such as history and IR, are really good, as are CS and neuroscience. And those are just a few of the notables. I think almost all of Brown's programs are strong, though.
