I believe Brown’s ranking went down from this year to last year as a school. Could that possibly mean they are becoming more lenient with who to accept into the school…

and yes I know that its an Ivy

Sorry to tell you that Brown is more selective than ever and has one of the very lowest admit rates in the U.S. Small changes in U.S. News ratings are not significant, or is numerical ranking of schools significant within larger tiers–it is like the Emperor’s Clothes. Some of the factors that go into those rankings are ‘alumni giving’ and other such.

Any school that receives 35k applications for what is it, 1500 spaces----is going to be able to be very choosy.

True true~

If you mean USNWR rankings, that is a joke. Anyone who follows those rankings clearly lacks the IQ to attend an Ivy.

Likely letters say 31000+ applications for 1485 spots. That’s less than 5% acceptance, so I don’t think so.

^Some people are accepted and choose not to go…

Good point. In any case I don’t think ranking a bit lower means much about any great schools.
