hibiscus, i refer to all the "crap" as rap and "non-crap" as hip-hop. ;)

I've never even heard of T.I

bash bruin bash. bruins bash bruin bash. bruins bash bruin bash and bash bruins bashing bruins bashing bruin bash.

VTECaddict:
That doesn't make any sense!

too bad. makes sense to me.

VTEC's trying to make a distinction between rap which in some cases can be mindless jabbering and hip-hop which is more or less a lifestyle.

Am I right?

Sidenote: There is a course within the Ethnomusicology department concerning the development of Rap/Hip-Hop (or whatever term you use).

That's stupid.

Hip hop is many things, whereas rap is a distinct rhyming vocal style.

Rap is not a genre of music. Hip hop is.

hibiscus:

bleh, cause I listen to j-pop...

not a fan of 'merican music or gangstah rap although i wouldn't say no to Michael Jackson or Mistah Fab.

lolol.

michael jackson.

hee.

lol

michael jackson is an awesome singer and dancer. its just his personal life that is a bit messed up.

fastMEd:
if you can tolerate mistah fab, there's a lot of other hip hop you could handle that isn't "gangstah rap"
