anyone know who's performing this year?

CEC/CAC have probably known for a while since they book in advance. However, it’ll be secret until the official annoucement (which I have no idea when that will happen).

is it anyone famous? who have been the past performers?

Last year it was Estelle (from American Boy), Hellogoodbye, and then the Cool Kids.

Year before that was TI.

Three years ago was Rooney and Xzhibit, and four years ago was Common and Thrice.

Damn they just get the best people :)

How do people get up close to the stage? Is it first come first serve?

I “heard” this year that it’s going to be Akon and T-Pain.
Don’t quote me on this though, I’m not sure. It might just be a rumor

what day is bruinbash?

It’s September 20

I think to get on the floor you need to line up for a second wristband like early that morning or something.

But yes, first come first served.

with $$$ the way it is, don’t expect anyone fantastic.

hopefully i’m wrong.

rooney the soccer player? O.o akon and t-pain might actually be worth going to…

having akon and t-pain would be pretty impressive, but somehow i doubt that’ll happen

Rooney as in the best alt band ever.

Let’s just hope it’s someone awesome. If not, who cares? Free concerts are always good :)

Doubtful that we have the budget for Akon/T-pain. It depends on when they blow up big, since CEC has to book them when they’re cheap a year in advance or whatever and hope it’s a good bet. Shows in LA are much more expensive to book than those in other cities since they simply charge the organizer the amount they could be making if they were elsewhere in LA that night.

Yeah, you would think so…

Don’t break the youngins’ idealism just yet MIC.
