Random i know but i was reading requirements and it seems we need to provide our own photo? Thats odd, and more work for me lol it says passport photo type but i dont have any

You’re right, unfortunately.

This makes me want to SIR to Berkeley. >:P

@Cayton
Doo it! Join the Dark Side.

@Cayton Loyshi is right…you should do it! Berkeley gives you the OPTION of providing your own pic ; ] +1 for Berk haha.

You can go to the same place where you pick up the card and have them take the photo.

Hardest part about the passport quality photo might be the white background if you don’t have such a thing where you live.

@RamonaFalls oh cool i didnt know that. All the places by me only give printed copies and i thought I had to upload it online and i dont have a scanner. But if theres an option to just go in id rather do that

Just do it in your living room with your webcam, that’s what I did. You can do that or go to the school, as RamonaFalls mentioned, but that’s kind of a pain.

@Repo11 i thought it had to be high resolution? But cool ill do it in my garage… those are the only white walls in my entire house lol

@sonic23 No, you just have to meet the guidelines they list and upload it to the site. They may kick it back once or twice, but it’s better than driving all the way up here, paying for parking, and standing in line just to get your picture taken. They accepted mine the first time, so it’s not that big of a deal.

They don’t take your picture for you?

They do if you come to the school, but you can also do it yourself at home on your webcam.

I went to the school and took a picture there. It’s like the DMV, except they give you the ID at the spot.

@Philosoup

Nice! Would it be a good idea to go get that taken care of when I go to Transfer Day on May 10th?

Go to Costco and get a passport picture taken

Oh. I totally did not upload a passport/ID-style picture. I thought it was for my future roommate to see. Whoops.

You don’t need to go to a photo studio place and get a passport photo. You just need to take a photo of yourself that meets the same requirements that a passport photo needs. That just means a white background, looking straight forward and has your entire face in it. No funny faces or anything like that. The bruincard says you also have to smile but that is optional. You can do this with your cellphone or webcam

I uploaded a pic, but they rejected it. They said it needed to be a white background- not quite sure what the issue was- I was in front of a white white… I submitted another. If that doesn’t get accepted, I’ll just go do it in person. I’m not too far from campus.

oops for my housing application I also put one that isn’t really passport-like. I thought it was just for my roommate. Oh well I am going to ucla thursday I’ll get it done there

Oh this is good! For the first time ever, I won’t look like a monster on my school ID…

@cayton when i went to orientation there was only one dude who didn’t have his ID, so it’s best to get it out of the way ASAP.
