Bruin Card

It says that it only accepts passport pictures, but the problem is that I haven't traveled overseas in years and so my passport is not up-to-date with my present picture (the passport picture is about when I was around 10 years old lol)

What do I do? Because it also says that I cannot print out an e-mail picture or a jpeg picture (probably due to low quality issues when printed), but a digital camera loads onto the computer so it's forced to become jpeg.

Help me please.

You just need a pic suitable for a passport (not the actual pic from your passport ;)) You can get one taken at a lot of places (Drugstores, Walmart, photo studios, etc.)

passport quality...just have someone take a picture of you. it's good enough.

passport quality. basically a mug shot with a plain white background, without sunglasses/hats/bandanas/scarves/whatever on. if you or a friend has good photo editing skills, just take a passport-like pic of you in front a white background, and play around with cropping/sizing it so that it will make a 2" by 2" picture of your headshot when its developed (i think thats the size, look it up). sound confusing? then just get a passport pic taken somewhere. its probably $5 or less.

i think you can also get it done at orientation, and they'll take your picture then. although be prepared to wait in line...

You can even try those little photo booths at the mall or local post offices that process passports.

What I did was I got a white foam board, held it up behind me with my hands and had my sister take my picture.

I had my picture taken by the Bruin Card people...

In all honesty, you're going to be blowing a lot of money for UCLA in the coming months. So don't worry about taking a passport photo like many did last year. Just do it at orientation for free and get your card right away.

Simple.
