Is Bruin Day worth coming down to UCLA for? Also what are the best tours/presentations you guys would recommend?

I’m flying out all the way from Miami so it better be worth it!!

I found Bruin Day to be a pretty useful event. It’s incredibly crowded but there are tons of presentations (including one by the chancellor), booths set up (outside Royce Hall), and workshops so you can ask all the questions and get all the information you want. Walk around, get a feel for the campus, take a tour of the dorms. There are also plenty of guidance counselors (and most likely financial aid people) around that day so go to your specific department and see if you can meet with one of them and obtain the most pertinent info about your major. Also, lots of free stuff!

Honestly, all the information you could possibly want about UCLA is already online. The main reason to go to Bruin Day is to get a feel for the campus if you haven’t been there yet. But this is a very important reason in and of itself.

Any info on the various groups’ stay over events during Bruin Day? MEChA invited me to stay that weekend; some of my friends are gonna go to the southeast Asian thing.

The Afrikan Student Union is having a Black By Popular Demand Admit weekend during Bruin Day that I am probably attending.

Does anyone know what time Bruin Harmony is going to be performing? I may not come for the whole day because I have prior engagements, but I don’t want to miss that! Thanks!

Anyone else doing the Bruin Overnight Experience for out-of-state students? So excited!

I am a current Bruin and yes, it is very much worth coming down: I went to USC and UCLA post admission, and was leaning towards USC…BRUIN DAY, well I accepted that night!
