Bruin Overnight Experience?

Any out of staters planning on doing the overnight experience? Or does anyone know of someone that did it in the past? Looks pretty cool, I want to learn more about it because I'm thinking of trying it!

I was a host for the overnight experience last year, so if you have questions from the other point of view, feel free to ask. If you already plan to go on a campus tour or attend Bruin Day, I think the overnight experience will probably feel “extra” unless you’re extremely undecided or extremely love UCLA and want to be there as much as possible. By extra I mean that I think if you go on campus/housing tours and Bruin Day, you’ll already get a good feel of the school and staying overnight wouldn’t really show you anything new. It might be a good experience if you’re out-of-state, though. When I met the prospective student I was hosting last year, we didn’t have much time for interaction because there were already many event going on (tour of Westwood, movies). Also, if you DO plan on going, please do your host a favor and ask questions. I had an awkward time with hostee because he didn’t want to know anything and I told him all the stuff that I felt like he should know. But he didn’t seem to enjoy himself, so that put a damper on the experience.

When is the overnight experience?

Here’s a link to a page that CURRENT UCLA students can use to sign up to become hosts–it shows the actual hosting dates

I don’t know where prospective students can find info to sign up for the events.

I would assume prospective students will get emails about the events.
