Did anyone submit their photo already? I know it has to be received at least five weeks before orientation, but I heard that you can just take the photo at orientation. It seems like a hassle...black and white background, passport quality. Are you guys just waiting to do that @ Orientation?

I took mine at orientation.

Just don't look like a complete jackass in yours...

yea I sent it last week...I remember reading somewhere not to hope for an update on the status before june 19th

I just went to a local photo place and took it...2 copies for 9 bucks

Mmm I sent mine in about two weeks ago and I got an update.

"We have received and are processing your photo. If there is ample time for prior processing, your BruinCard will be mailed to you before you attend Orientation. You should receive your card shortly before the date on which your session begins. Once your card has been mailed, you should see the date on which it was sent reflected here."

do it at costco its like 4 bucks

yea mine says they are processing it too

did it at home and sent it in about 2 weeks ago

so if i'll be attending orientation 101 (july 10-12), can i still send in a passport photo for bruincard and expect to get my card back before orientation?

yes...they just need to receive it one week before orientation. It says that right on the My.Ucla homepage

Even if they don't get a picture, they can make your card on the spot. I took the picture and got it 5 minutes later.

that's what I thought, UCLAri, thanks. I heard that from current Bruin, but since myUCLA didn't say anything about that, I didn't want to bank on it.

haha..there's a secret...just take the bruincard photo at orientation

I don't think they tell you this because they want to save money by taking less pictures and telling students to submit them before orientation.
