Brushing your teeth..

@whatslife if you’re complaining about that bacon, just invite me over. It’ll be gone just like. XD
@Qube eh I never liked them that much. The gel. All in the middle always felt weird to me, but you did get a nice minty freshness! French kiss away, man!

for the last year i’ve brushed my teeth once a week, if that, lul.

How bad is it?

“How many times do you brush your teeth per day?”

Twice a day for two minutes each time; you only need to brush your teeth 2-3 times a day, excessive brushing can lead to problems such as enamel wearing and bleeding gums.

“Also, what toothpaste brand do you use?”

Colgate Total since it has triclosan.

^ not if you use a soft brush and you brush lightly :)

@twentythirteen, AWFUL.

First of all, when you first get Invisalign, you need to take a plaster mold of your teeth. This wasn’t too bad for me, because I have a pretty good control on my gag reflex, but it’s a pretty bad experience for a lot of people. The plaster tastes disgusting, and it burns where the little bits get left behind.

Okay, on to the actual Invisalign: When I first got it, my mouth produced a way overload of spit because of this weird thing in it. It hurts to put in and take it because of how tight it is around the teeth. I felt like I was wrenching out my teeth initially. Of course, after a while, it loosens up, but then you need to get a new one and it’s all tight and annoying.

Having to take out Invisalign whenever you eat/drink anything other than water is gross, too. Spit collects between your teeth and the plastic Invisalign at first, and you can imagine how un-socially beneficial it is to remove a spitty, clear plastic thing from your teeth every time you eat.

If you skip wearing it for a couple of hours, then it “tightens up” again around your teeth.

And lastly, Invisalign is clear so it’s a pain in the butt trying to keep it clean and plaque-free. Drinking anything colored with it in will stain it.

Hope that answers your question. This may be my longest post ever.

I brush my teeth twice a day most days, although ideally I think I should do it thrice. I floss at night, but never use mouthwash, although starting to do so sounds like a good idea.

Honestly, once a day. I might skip a day. I always brush in the evening. It’s when it’s most efficient.

During finals or stressful academic weeks, that drops to once a week. Disgusting? Yes, but my teeth have actually fared very well so far, at least as of the last time I went to the dentist two months ago anyways.

Three times a day, unless I eat ice cream in or something else sweet in the middle of the day. Then four. I believe I use colgate, but I’m too lazy to get up and check.

^I lol’ed really hard in public when I saw that and people started staring at me…xD

I brush 2 times a day, 2 times every time for 2 minutes each…so 8 minutes total a day. I use the colgate brand with the little mint strips in it…works wonders.

Sent from my SGH-T959V using CC

@emc, 2 times every time??

I brush mine 2 times every day for 2 minutes at least each time. Also I floss every night. But if I’m going somewhere trying to impress or if I’m really nervous, I brush right before the event.

I didn’t brush my teeth all day yesterday #yolo

Wow. What a badass.

Beachkid, how can you stand it?! Don’t you feel so disgusting…? When I go a few hours without brushing my teeth I feel gross.

2x a day. Never had a cavity or any problem really.

Colgate or Aquafresh, depending on what’s around.

It’s funny how everyone is like “I’ll just use whatever toothpaste” and I always (and have to) use Aquafresh Adcanced 2X whitening because I never get cavities with that toothpaste…

2x a day, 2 minutes in the morning, 4 at night.

@Niquii77 I have to use Natural Dentist or Rembrandt. Rembrandt feels SO good in your mouth.
