<p>I will be visiting A&M this weekend, but I might not have enough time to see the surrounding area…are there any people around here who can answer my questions?</p>

<li><p>What is Bryan/College Station like? Is there a lot to do? I would love any of yall’s input on the towns.</p></li>
<li><p>What are the points of interest in the surrounding area? In other words, what other places of note are within 200 or so miles?</p></li>

<p>if your gonna drives 200 miles...you can go to most places in texas...like dallas, austin, houston, san antonio.....which are all less then 200 miles away</p>

<p>Houston is ~100 miles from College Station - nonstop freeway. See the following link from the Rice U thread:</p>

<p>~25% of the students at TAMU are from the Houston area.</p>
