Bryant University

I also am trying to learn more about Bryant. I was accepted and received a nice scholarship but trying to weigh against other choices. I am a little concerned that they are not a discussion topic on this website?

Does anyone know how Bryant is in meeting gap btw EFC and cost after merid aid?

We would be interested in more info on the amount/range of Bryant’s institutional grants if anyone is in a position to share. We were grateful to learn of a $12,000 scholarship in the admittance letter received recently and have a good idea of what we can expect in the form of Federal aid. Whether Bryant is affordable to our family though depends on grants from Bryant and VSAC (Vermont’s state grants are portable). We won’t learn the amount of the VSAC grant until mid-May. My understanding is that Bryant’s financial aid award packages will be sent out beginning March 25th but we have to make a decision whether or not to buy airline tickets to visit another college (the only one we know we can afford right now but have never visited) before the first decision date and it would be considerably less expensive to book flights sooner rather than later. Thanks for any and all recent info on Bryant’s grants.

bumping this up a bit in hopes of catching someone’s eye…

Bryant is a great school. My son is a sophomore now and he loves it. The administration and faculty there are truly caring and are focused on a very important thing…making the students marketable enough to get a job out of college. They have a top-notch career placement center. My son received a scholarship and a grant from them. It’s still rather expensive but the tuition does include 2 laptops over the 4 years they attend. It also has an exceptable 4 year graduation rate which these days seems to be hard to find.

I would like to create a forum for Bryant in regards to the class of 2013/2017.

I would love to see a Bryant thread as well! Any idea when their Early Action acceptance letters go out?

would be great to see the Bryant acceptances on college confidential

still waiting on my acceptance!

Same here…

anyone here from Bryant yet?

Just do a search here on CC for Bryant and you will see some previous discussions, mostly comparing Bryant to other business oriented schools…

Just got my acceptance letter today!
Has anyone created a thread solely about Bryant? I’m interested in hearing about some aspects other than the clearly fantastic business aspect

Congratulations Katie!

Do you mind telling us where you live? We live in NYC and my son is yet to receive any notification in the mail.

Rastaman- I am from Memphis, TN. I applied Early Action very last minute. In fact, they notified me December 18th that I needed to send in my first quarter grades by December 31st in order to receive a decision. I sent them in January 3rd and heard back on the 22nd.

Have you heard back yet? I’m also interested to hear about your impression of the school. Have you visited? As I’m from the south, Bryant has never been a school of discussion so I’m interested to hear about its reputation.

Hi Katiebuggers
My daughter was also accepted to Bryant with a nice scholarship and honors. We visited over the summer so school was not in session at the time so campus was pretty empty. Our tour guide was an international student who was very nice and seemed to really like the school. The campus is very pretty. It has two main large academic buildings so you don’t need to change buildings a lot in the cold weather. One girl on our tour thought that felt a little high school to her but it did not bother my daughter. The classrooms themselves are set up to bring your lap top and plug right in. Everything was clean and well kept. We did not see the dining hall because it was closed. We saw a freshman traditional style dorm. It was clean, the furniture was typical dorm furniture in good condition. We were told freshmen can also live in a suite. The fitness center had a lot to offer. The school seemed to be run like a business, which being a business school, we felt was a plus. The career placement center was impressive and we were told they have 98% placement rate 6 months after graduation. There is nowhere to walk to off campus but there is a bus stop on campus and we were told it was a 15 min bus ride to Providence. Reputation seems to be it’s a decent and up and coming business school. Hope this helped a little!

My son received his financial aid offer from Bryant over the weekend and we were disappointed. Bryant is no longer an option, considering he has full tuition aid from both Providence U and Babson College. We are now waiting to see what Villanova offers and whether he has been accepted by Boston College.

Any further update or thoughts on Bryant?
Strongly considering this school for international business.

Hey there everyone,
I have been accepted in Bryant and even got a scholarship of 12,000 USD. However, I am still quite unsure regarding Bryant as my choice. It will be highly beneficial if someone will be able to acquaint me a bit about Bryant. How is Bryant’s reputation in the field of education? In field of Business? How’s the Student Body? Number of International Students?
Thanks in advance

Bryant is a small business school with a good reputation in the New England states. We are looking at it too. Focus for us is most likely international business.
