Bryn Mawr Admissions Fall 2022 - Class of 2026

It’s just weird. My daughter’s college counselor (who is very good) told her to definitely apply to MHO because there was an excellent change of quite a large merit offer. And then nothing, beyond acceptance. She got a very nice merit scholarship to Bryn Mawr and was accepted to Wellesley, but no merit from MHO? Seems like something might be going on there.

My D22 didn’t get any merit from MHO either. Disappointing because she loves that school. She got the Presidential Scholarship from Bryn Mawr, thankfully!

Right? I expected a good merit package from MoHo too… nothing.

MoHo Admitted Day is 4/10 and Smith has one on 4/9. Just booked a hotel! Wish Bryn Mawr had a big event. Is it bad that I am kinda hoping for rejections from Barnard & Vassar so we don’t have to fit them in too😉?

My daughter has made her decision and will be class of 2026 at College of Wooster! Let me know if that’s where yours also lands and we will look for you

Daughter also accepted ED. Will
Look for the parent group.

Same experience with MHC. Smith and Bryn Mawr were 10K+ higher in merit awards than MHC.

Same! $15k from MHO, $30k from BM and full ride ($68k) from Smith. Apparently Smith and BM see need very differently? We will appeal to Bryn Mawr if needed, just hoping she falls decisively in love with Smith. Trying to squeeze in all the visits and talk to FA officers. This May 1st deadline is looming!

My advice— Go to SMITH and never look back!

FYI BMC has a policy not to negotiate merit aid. Maybe they make exceptions, but they didn’t budge last year when we showed them several higher offers from peer schools.

I’m also waitlisted. Best of luck! Any idea how long this will slog on for?

Any updates to the waitlist?
