Bryn Mawr College Class of 2025 RD

Unfortunately, no. Your daughter should have a schedule of online tours and focus groups they are doing in the upcoming weeks.

Do we know how many people got waitlisted? I was really happy that I got waitlisted because Bryn Mawr is my dream school and I was convinced that I was going to be rejected, but now it seems like they waitlisted even more people than they rejected so I’m not sure :frowning: I kind of perceived a waitlist as a good thing but it seems more negative to everyone else so I don’t know what to think about it anymore

How many different merit scholarships do they offer? I was admitted with the Presidential Scholarship (feeling very excited and grateful!!!) but I’m not sure if there are others.

There are only two levels of merit scholarship: Presidential and standard Merit. You got the best one!

wondering the same thing!

I have no idea the numbers for this year, and we may not for a long time, but remember that the results you see on CC are not a random sample of the applicants! Kids on CC are more driven and into the college process than the average applicant, and people are more likely to want to post good news than bad news, so you may see a lot more of acceptances and waitlists than rejections

Does anyone know if one can get on campus to at least walk around and see it? I had heard there were ‘no trespass’ signs and stuff

From BMC site.

Visitors
Bryn Mawr College will treat Haverford as an extension of Bryn Mawr’s campus. Exchange between the campuses may be more limited due to safety considerations for the Blue Bus.
The College will not permit outside visitors to campus from the general public to buildings, campus activities, and outside campus spaces.
All admissions tours and information sessions will be suspended until conditions materially change.
For Spring 2021, students will not be able to take in-person classes at Penn or at Swarthmore and vice versa. Course registrations (in-person or remote) from non-Tri-Co students will not be permitted.
Essential outside visitors (e.g., auditors, outside deliveries, contractors working on Facilities projects) will be allowed to come to campus. All visitors will be required to follow campus safety protocols.

Bryn Mawr and Haverford were actually the first two colleges I visited (before COVID, of course) and I really loved them both! At this point I think I would have to choose Bryn Mawr over Haverford, only because Bryn Mawr gave me their Presidential Scholarship and Haverford did not give me any financial aid. But I also got some other acceptances so far and I’m waiting on a few more, so I’m not exactly sure yet where they fall on my list overall! How about you?

Oh that’s awesome!! Congrats on your scholarship! Haverford actually gave me better financial aid, but not as good as Macalester’s, so we’ll see. Yeah, I agree! Right now both are in my top few schools but I’ll see what happens with my other decisions. Good luck with yours!

Thank you!! Good luck with your decisions, and maybe we’ll even end up at the same school! Either way, I hope we both end up at schools we’re really happy with

My niece was accepted with a large merit aid package. She is waiting on a couple more schools but I believe this is her top choice. Congrats to all of you.

Has any accepted student received any physical mailings from Bryn Mawr via post? We haven’t received anything at all, I wonder whether they have the address wrong or they just don’t send physical mail any longer.

Yes, we received a small box just a day or so ago.

Oh really? What did they send?

No, I haven’t received any physical mailings.

Hand written note, some confetti and a sticker sheet.
