Hi! I am an International student who is REALLY interested in Bryn Mawr College. I am just wondering if anyone can give me any advice about this school?...Also, I would like to know what the chance is for a BMC Econ major(or any other major) undergrad to apply for Wharton? Maybe a little confusing, I mean, What majors can apply for a business grad school, especially Wharton? What about the Psychology major? Which one is more competitive in BMC?
Thank you so much!

Bryn Mawr College is fantastic for students who wish to make a smooth, gradual transition into college and in your case, a new country as well. Its small but enchanting campus allows students to foster the meaningful relationships between professors and fellow students Bryn Mawr is known for. Bryn Mawr has an abundance of extracurricular activities ranging from sports to community service projects so I am certain you will find plenty of organizations to enjoy and benefit from.

It is great that you have envisioned your career plans! A large number Bryn Mawr graduates get admitted into the top business schools in the United States. It will not be necessary for you to pursue a business related major in order to attend the business school of your choice; both the Economics and Psychology majors are competitive. You will not need to declare your major until your sophomore year so you will have plenty of time to explore the two of them and make your selection. You will not be alone during this process! Your dean and faculty advisor(s) are expertly prepared to help you make a well-informed decision based on your career aspirations.

Best of luck!

Hello! I just wanted to add to what Alicia said, Bryn Mawr has a consortium with the University of Pennsylvania, so you can actually take classes at Wharton as a Bryn Mawr undergrad, which, if you get to know your professors there and start to familiarize yourself with the school, could certainly help your application to Wharton. It also means Wharton is familiar with the kind of caliber of Bryn Mawr students, which also helps. And I agree, you certainly don’t need a business major to enter the field. You can get in with any major, and Bryn Mawr is in the top ten for sending students to grad school, so there is a lot of support.

Hope that helps!
