An interesting interview with Jenny Rickard--
"Of the top 25 liberal arts colleges in the US, Bryn Mawr ranks first for its percentage of international students, third for its socioeconomic diversity, and fifth for its racial and ethnic diversity."

hey, i got a question about bmc. i heard this kind of things. bmc is competitive at academic but it lacks social environment. do you have any idea about this comment?THX

Hey lweimo,
While Bryn Mawr certainly doesn’t lack in academic rigor, one of the things that I love most about Bryn Mawr is the social environment. I love being in a friendly, close-knit community where I can just eat pizza in a dorm with a friend, go to a concert, or have a party on the green. While our social events are on the smaller scale, because Bryn Mawr is located so close to Philadelphia (and just a couple hours from New York and DC), plus tons of other big universities and colleges (Penn, Villanova, Temple, Drexel), I’ve been able to seek out whatever environment I’ve desired that weekend, allowing a totally customizable experience. Of course, we’re also in a consortium with Haverford and Swarthmore (aided by a free bus system), which opens up our pool of shared activities, parties, etc.
