Any other important factors: The interview went really well, I thought. I connected a lot with the admissions officer. I also took two courses at Lehigh and got As.
Race/ethnicity: Caucasian

i didn't get the package... yet... but someone did call my house...

question ladies... i don't want to be a bugaboo about this, but one nice thing about bryn mawr was that it was more intellectual than competitive.

um...why are we listing out grades and achievements here? we know (whether we got in or out) that we worked real hard in high school and are accomplished. i'm sure you'll agree that accepted women probably have high achievements and the admissions process is not a science that can be predicted (grades + merits ^2 = admit).

shouldn't we start our acceptances in the spirit of the mawr?

let's put up our stats on the johns hopkins page instead... :)
just my humble opinion...

OMG-thank you for your kind reply
didn't mean to imply that i was offended in anyway... i'm not a priss/anal
i didn't apply to hopkins :) ... just it's their thing for being ultra-competitive.

Yeah, I agree that I've had enough talk of "stats;" well-intentioned as it might be, it just makes me feel inadequate, haha.

With that said...props to Bryn Mawr for nicest acceptance package (ok, so I've only gotten one other so far, but still)...the button, poster, hand-written note on the letter, and all those brochures were quite fancy : )

wok, i love your name. it's cute. i haven't seen the movie yet, but i'm sure it's great. yeah it's true that they are super competitive. my friend goes there right now.

gloaming, i do give props to bryn mawr for the acceptance package...i actually didn't see the poster, but i will look at it the second i get off the computer. :) i loved the button and the handwritten note. it was cute :)

Maybe there could be two separate threads, one for listing of decisions and one for stats? That way people can choose which, or both, to post on. I'm going to make a thread for "stats" now.

Other thoughts: LOVE the button, poster & the personal touch. Did not love how BMC kept on sending us newsletter updates and such because I kept on thinking those were acceptance letters!

SAT: 740 V, 650 M, 700 R
SAT IIs: 720 Lit, 700 US Hist, 650 Math II
GPA: 3.67 W
Rank: 100/838

Other: Well, at least its not a rejection..Ive really grown to lfavor Bryn Mawr so its nice to have some hope. Im sure my GPA is the main culprit. Congratulations to everyone else!

I agree that the board isn't really in the spirit of Bryn Mawr. I was just accepted for the class of 2010 and I also visited during Mosaic in the fall. The one thing that Bryn Mawr students do not discuss is grades. Congrats to all who finally received a decision.

Hi roxy, I also went to Mosaic! I loved it. To all other girls, I was accepted in the Fall - ED I. I go to a large public high school, SAT 2030, National Achievement finalist, no leadership positions, community service, african-american, GPA - B+. Good luck to everyone!

I think it could really be helpful for women looking on the site and wondering where to apply. Some of us have no idea how we compare to the other applicants, so this time has added nervousness.

Decision: ACCEPTED!

SAT: 760 V, 640 M, 730 W
SAT IIs: 770 Lit, 800 US Hist

Did anybody else love the handwritten note? It made me smile.
