Let me start out by saying, no I do not have straight B's, however I do have quit a few. when I was in middle school my teachers discouraged me, in what I think was them trying a new teaching method (I don't know). Anyways I took 3 high school courses in middle school (IPS, Algebra 1, and Geometry), and they all averaged to be B's unfortunately. :( However when I got to high school I have started making straight A's, with almost all honors and APs. I have some extracurricular activities I could put on my resume like: fencing, tennis, I did a speech to help get a library built in Uganda, and every summer since 6th grade I have done an "educational" program. If I continue to get straight A's and achieve high SAT/ACT scores is it possible for me to get into Yale? Any tips?

If those were C’s you might have a real reason to worry, but they’re not and if you keep up the good grades you should be fine.

^Agreed.

Also, middle school grades aren’t considered in the admissions process AT ALL.

Chance back?

Even if they are high school? At my school we get our transcripts every so often and I still have those on my report…

Yes I will chance back, and thanks guys! :D

In middle school I took a couple courses like Algebra and Spanish that helped me in placement to higher courses when freshman year started. They showed up on my transcript as Pass Fail only, but I guess they count as real grades for you. You should be fine if the rest of your application is

Yale is a top tier school with a very low acceptance rate, so it’s a reach for everyone. But that said, a few B’s won’t keep Yale from considering. Your stats are excellent and you should be proud! Just don’t slack and you should fare well in college admissions.

Also, will you chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1543428-chance-me-georgetown-nyu-cmu-will-chance-back.html
