Haha. What’s gone is gone. Now just keep our fingers’ crossed!

Definitely. I was lucky enough to get history teachers for my general/pastoral interviews at 3 of the 4 schools I applied to! I think it was chosen randomly as well :)

Did any of you have to do academic interviews, where they’ll ask you maths questions or to look at a source for history or something?

@UKgirl23: Haha, thank goodness no! I did have to expand a bit on my English interests, but thankfully, there was no Algebra for me to contend with. Or else…let’s just say it wouldn’t go well.

I dont think so, although I wish to be one. singing " Not Afraid" by Eminem.
@GoldenRatio: SEE? You nailed ur Hotchkiss interview when mine is just horrible! It’s my first interview so I was so scared that my accent became obvious!

That’s really lucky! I had 4 academic interviews (1 for each subject) at 2 schools, and 7 (6 IB and a backup) at another!

@hamburger110: Ooh, interview jitters. I had then when I was interviewing at Choate.
It was the most amazing feeling you’ll ever get, like there were dragons breathing fire in your stomach.

@UKgirl23: Wow! I guess it shows a lot about the difference between UK/US education! I think.

I guess it shows how subject specific we are and how much more academics mean in school and college admissions :)

I’d be interested to know your interviewer, as my interview at Hotchkiss was probably the most fun I’ve had talking to administrators.

@BearcatPrep: My interviewer showed me around the Art Salon (I believe that’s how it’s spelled), and talked to some of the seniors about their projects. It was one of the greatest interviews I had; it was so fun! I really got to talk about what I love-art.

@sere7676: In my school, 40% of the applicants are girls and 60% of the applicants are boys. It’s much more even then you might think.

I’m a boy :D

One of the schools I applied to sent me an email today with the decision day, and the they said “We surpassed last year’s record application numbers, and mixed with a small graduating class we are targeting the lowest number of new students in recent years.”
That scares me a little, and it makes me even more nervous for March 9th!

keisha404 I got the same email! I hope this doesn’t mean I’ve been denied admission!

@confusedonhades/@keisha404: Which school was it?
