@GoldenRatio yup, in a proof you need to give a reason why 1+1=2, and in this case it wold be Addition Property of Equality :D

@AmbiD77: Twenty to thirty step proofs?! What do they talk about?

Haha, now aren’t we a bunch of cynical ones here? But see, if it had a reason (e.x. proofs) I would gladly become more meticulous. On the other hand, solving a word problem…

Haha, my teacher is pretty strict when it comes to proving things like that. We had a test today, and she got angry, because most of us weren’t showing ALL the reasons why the triangles were similar. I think science and social studies are the only subjects that keep me sane.

The only subjects that keep me sane are Art and English.

@GoldenRatio hahahah don’t worry thats not normal- at all! I’m in an Accelerated Honors class and I have a teacher who’s slightly insane when it comes to the level of difficulty, and hes convinced I’m a math prodigy so he gives me a set of really intense proofs, so the 20-30 step proofs are probably things you won’t encounter unless you ask your teacher for a challenging proof

Studio Art and Geometry keep me sane! :smiley: And occasionally Science Research

@AmbiD77: intrigued side glance What things can you prove with 20-30 steps?

And: Art!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

@GoldenRatio For some reason, Language Arts doesn’t even feel like a class to me. Spanish class is my language arts, haha.

@keisha404: Oh, our English teacher is so meticulous and loves to delve deep into symbolism. It’s like over-analyzing every single word-very fun. And then it’s punctuated with a lot of goofy mnemonics about grammar! :D

@GoldenRatio my favorite 20-30 step proof was when I had to prove the formula of the are of a quadrilateral, it sounds easy, but there were many limitations and I had to find out how to make it apply to ALL quads

@AmbiD77: The area of a quadrilateral? Er…I’m going to pass on that one! Maybe I’d use triangles? I heard that mainly everything in Geometry is related to triangles! XD

@GoldenRatio Hahahaa don’t worry its fairly easy if you love math and puzles half as much as I do! :D

@AmbiD77: I love word jumbles, if that counts! :D

@GoldenRatio definitely!! :smiley: word jumbles rock my socks xD

A am so glad I am done with Geometry… proofs! Lets just say… I dont like math!

I’m so glad that my math requirement is already finished. I hate calculus so much.

My geometry teacher is convinced I’ll memorize 800 digits of pi by pi day xD

@preplover22: Haha, from what I’ve heard, I think I’ll actually like Geometry…:)

Yay GoldenRatio! Geometry buds :wink: :D

@AmbiD77: High five! :D
