BS Class of 2017 Thread

Congratulations to @i70sband family and future i70sband Cadet! That is a really big decision, and a big accomplishment just to get there. Not an easy path for sure, and a huge commitment. Your son will be in good company at WP! I salute you all.

Congrats and thanks for sharing the good news! You’ll be in good company with @ChoatieMom representing Cadet moms here.

Yea, @i70sband ! Nice to have the decision made.

Congratulations!

@i70sband CONGRATULATIONS! This is no small feat for your son. All the best.

Thank you @cameo43 @doschicos @gardenstategal @carpoolingma @payn4ward @GoatMama @london203 !!!

congrats @i70sband

Congrats to your son @i70sband. It is such a long haul. I know your entire family must be happy to have the decision behind you so you can celebrate and look forward. ChoatieCorporal will be a platoon sergeant at Beast this summer. Perhaps he will have the honor of having i70sCadet in his platoon along with the honor of yelling at him. (There is a lot of yelling.)

Wishing you and your family all the best as your son steps into The Long Gray Line.

congratulations @i70sband !!!

Will most RD results come in before, during or after the weekend with April 1 falling on a Saturday? Best wishes to all who are waiting to hear!!

Ivy day is today (Thursday) and Stanford releases tomorrow. I think the decisions should be in by the weekend but a few scholarships might be next week.

I am utterly useless at work today, waiting for the 5 pm Ivy Day decisions.

Good luck @soxmom !!!

Good luck @soxmom and everyone who is waiting! :x
No horse in the race, but still cheering everyone! >:D< =D>

Good luck!

@soxmom Hope you had some good news today?

Mixed. Got waitlisted at Princeton, which was his first choice (after Williams, where he got rejected). But to my surprise, admitted at Dartmouth. So I’m giving him a day to get over the P’ton disappointment, and then he needs to figure out which schools he wants to revisit. I think he’ll probably be deciding between Dartmouth, Middlebury, and Georgetown. Each of them has aspects he really likes, but also some questions in his mind. I know he’d be happy at any of the three, so will be trying to sit back and let this be his choice (unless he starts to give consideration to some of the other schools he got into which I don’t think would be as good a fit).

Three very different schools. I have a daughter at Dartmouth. PM if you have any questions from a parent’s perspective. She loves it.

congrats to soxkid @soxmom !!!
