Would a BS Computer Science + Econs Minor be more beneficial or a BA in Computer Science + Economics Minor + Digital Media Technologies Minor ?
The BS Computer Science and BA Computer Science in my university is almost the same with some differences.
First, I would like to outline my transfer credits from A levels include
Physics I and Physics II
2 semester Math courses
Microeconomic and Macroeconomic Principles
The level of physics I have learned could be found here http://www.cambridgeinternational.org/programmes-and-qualifications/cambridge-international-as-and-a-level-physics-9702/
If I were to take the BS route, I would have to 2 additional semesters of physics courses on top of the two right now with similar topics but of slightly higher difficulty whereas the BA courses would not require. Of course those transfer credits do already count towards my degree.
As for math level for both BS and BA, they are identical as they both require up to Calculus II.
The only other difference is that with the BS, I would be required to take 4 Comp Science electives (it must be distinct from courses taken in Minor) whereas the BA doesn’t have that requirement hence I could use those credits (including the 8 credits of extra physics I don’t have to do) to obtain the Digital Media Technologies Minor + a spare elective for me to do Artificial Intelligence or other CS electives.
The Digital Media Tech course consists of these modules: Introduction to Media Technology, Introduction to Internet Studies, Mobile Computing Technologies, Introduction to Mobile App Development, Advance Mobile App Development and Mobile Media.
Hence, would the extra minor be more beneficial for me than the BS computer science as I have already had done/transferred credits for physics or would it be more beneficial for me to take the BS Computer Science?
Would the BA Computer Science hinder or lower my employability prospects compare to the BS?
