BS/DO Colleges without MCAT.

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest direct BS/DO Colleges without MCAT.

My Stats 3.69UW (4.11 W) GPA, SAT 1470 and 5 Yrs Volunteer in health care with research.

I am less competitive for direct BS/MD.

Thank you CC members for your suggestions with last year BS/DO admission Stats.

@AlphaDog1031 - St Bonaventure University.

DD has a friend who just started the BS/DO program at St. Bonaventure and she loves it! Her GPA was a bit higher than yours but you have a higher SAT.

Thanks to both Somo2020 and helpingmom40 for the St. Bonaventure college information.

LECOM has an early acceptance agreement with several undergraduate programs. Application for the 3+4 or 4+4 BA/DO program requires a separate application.

(There are ~50 participating colleges)

Personally I would recommend any guaranteed program with reasonable MCAT expected score over an Early Assurance Program (EAP) with no MCAT requirement but also with no guarantees of matriculation.

I would be extremely cautious on LECOM. One of the story I came to know was not that great. Though they have multiple campus, the amount of UG colleges they have agreement and the number of students are disproportionate. I don’t remember the exact sequence. Something like they asked him to apply the DO app at the beginning of UG senior year and then later told you did not meet the GPA and hence no interview will be offered. This person thought all along since his HS senior year, got DO admission. Also was not sure why did they asked him to apply when they know his UG GPA (if it has not met the cut-off).

Make sure to read the rules and have a clear understanding of their expectations.
