BS DO minimum requirements

I am a high school senior and I am planning to apply to BS DO 7 or 8 programs. When I recalculated my weighted gpa with core subjects only its about 3.4/4. And my sat is 1480. Now that I am not meeting the minimum requirement with respect to GPA, will I not be considered? I do have good ECs. Can someone help answer this?

It’s highly unlikely.
These programs are competitive among students who meet the minima.
If there are 10 places and 120 applicants, if 40 don’t meet one of the minimum requirements they’re easy to cut right off the bat, and the 80 remaining, qualified candidates battle it out of the 10 places. Even among those the overwhelming majority will not get in.
Focus on colleges with their own DO schools (some are easy to get into like LMU Tennessee or NovaSoutheastern in Florida) and supportive pre health programs (like Earlham, Juniata).

Thank you. I will surely be applying to NOva and Juniata. LMU Tennessee - do they have a bs/do program? Can you confirm?

They don’t but they have a DO school and attending undergrad there helps . it’s in the middle if nowhere though .

Got it. Thank you.

Have you ever shadowed a DO? Do you know the difference between MD and DO?

Yes. I am Shadowing a DO currently.

3.4 is too low to be competitive.
