***BS/MD Interview Notification for Class of 2013***

Does anyone know how many people get invited to temple healthscholars interview and how many seats are there?

I got an interview for the UMKC BA/MD, but sacked from U Miami HPME. Still waiting on
Northwestern HPME and BU BA/MD. Anybody that got an interview for UMKC nervous for the whole MMI interview process?

Hey do u mind posting stats umedbro? Also which state r u from?

@desigirl23
I’m from good 'ole Missouri! Idk if I’m allowed to posts stats online cause I’m new to CC, but oh well:
SAT: 35
ACT: 2360
GPA: 3.8 UW; 4.4 W
Clubs: Speech and Debate president, Key Club, MUN treasurer, Mock Trial, NHS, Student Council
Sports: Varsity tennis, Taekwondo (2nd degree black belt)
Extracurriculars: Youth Group Co-president, Hospital Volunteering (300+ hours), Numerous service activities, etc.

^ lol ur sat and act are swapped

temple program is only for pa, de, md residents rt?

@sanguinee oh haha i just realized that. I hope I don’t get accused of blasphemy of intermingling the divine ACT with the holy SAT.

I do not see any limitation to specific states.

Did anyone get u toledo interview? Do u guys know if there is an instate pref? I hope not because I got an interview out of thirty as oos

I had my interview for miami hpm on the 22nd how come nobody is taking about that program? Is it no good? As far as I’m concerned 7 years in miami on such a beautiful campus is perfect

Sent from my SCH-I535 using CC

@stownman21 I would of loved to talk about that program except I didn’t get selected. I am still highly considering U Miami because I got an interview for several prestigious merit scholarships and in addition, I can still re-apply for a guaranteed medical honors program after my first year of undergrad. You are right 7 years in a beautiful campus with amazing weather, strong education, close proximity to prestigious hospitals, and generous scholarships would be awesome.

@UmedBro You should be careful about putting trust in the guranteed assurance programs that you hear about at many colleges. Once they know that they rejected you for combined program, the bar is set very high, which means that you will have to maintain a near perfect GPA and put in crazy hours at hospitals etc. (this is true for most colleges who advertise about their assurance program). You may be better of going traditional route by scoring high on MCAT. Offcourse if you get a great Merit scholarship in Miami - take it :)

Anyone hear anything about interviews for Drexel/Drexel? I got accepted for undergrad and paid the $150.00 application fee but still haven’t heard about the interview!

nope. I paid the $150 about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago, still nothing. ughhhh

same i paid the $150 and haven’t heard from drexel/drexel…i didn’t even get an email or notification about getting accepted into undergrad :(

I didn’t hear from nova yet and I paid 150 :frowning: although I got accepted to nova

How many interviews did you all get so far?

I feel like I’m in the same situation as most of you, so that makes me feel a little bit better, I still haven’t heard from Drexel/Lehigh/Villanova → Drexel Med, or Northwestern, or Albany Medical College, so I’m slightly concerned! But I did get interviews from TCNJ/NJMS, BU, Penn State, and I’m hoping they might follow through :)

@desigirl same here nothing from nova program or drexel/drexel program or undergrad. still 0 interviews :)

Yeah guys, I’m not having too much luck with interviews either. Only got Villanova/Drexel…otherwise, no luck.
