@bluesky how did you find out about the Rochester interview dates? I am guessing this is not an official date, since they interview calls are not out. So I see no point in worrying about the conflict with PPSP.

@smartguy your stats are phenomenal. Let me ask you, if you were to get an offer from all the colleges, which one would you choose ? And how come PLME is not in your list?

@matrix 007: We called Rochester to ask when they would send interview notices and the person said the interview would probably be March 21-23.

@Bluesky thanks for the information about Rochester.

Hey I’m new!

Any tips on hpme Miami interview?

@matrix007, no problem. I’m not sure if that is 100% guaranteed though. Hopefully they haven’t finalized it and maybe will schedule it on a different day!

Has anyone heard from Sophie Davis or Brooklyn College? Interviews anyone?

I applied to Sophie but haven’t heard back, feeling a rejection though as some people have already gotten interviewed

I didn’t list PLME because they don’t offer interviews, but I did apply

Interview at Sophie on Wednesday, waiting to hear from Brooklyn. I thought both of those had to be in state?

@tenacious I messaged you

I remember reading a posting about the PSU/Jefferson interview format recently. Could some one post the link to that or share some details about the interview format last year?

Matrix007 - last year Jefferson day was a one-on-one interview followed later by a one-on-one interview w/ a faculty member. The interviews were short - 20 to 30 minutes. Be prepared for: 1) Tell me about yourself, 2) Why medicine? 3) Are your parents pushing you into this? 4) everything else you’ve heard about interviews. I was told the student interviews didn’t count for much. The rest of the day was used for presentations about the program, Jefferson, current student experiences and a campus tour. Overall is was low pressure as these things go.

Thanks @infoundNemo Are you PSU/Jefferson currently?

@Matrix, I’m a parent, my son/daughter (trying to stay anonymous) was accepted and enrolled and is having a great experience - really couldn’t be happier. I meant to say that the first interview was with a current student and the second was with a faculty member. Both were quite short. Jefferson seemed to go out of their way to try to relax the interviewees and have them just be themselves. There were a lot of opportunities to talk to current students and ask them anything. I suggest you have a ton of questions ready, it’s the best opportunity to see if this program / these schools are a good fit for you. Good luck.

Has anybody received any interview calls for Caltech/UCSD Medical Scholars 8 year program yet ?

Got rejected interview from njms my life is over
