@newdoc20202021, impressive stats. No, I am a junior and am looking at my options.

Their program’s not bad but it’s pretty expensive and I would rather go with a md program. Are you from LI?

@newdoc20202021, thank you for the info. No, I am from Texas.

Guys, I am SO nervous. Can anyone help me? Has anyone gotten med school interview notifications from:

Drew/UMDNJ
NJIT/UMDNJ
Stony Brook University
Widener/Temple
Duquesne/Temple
Washington&Jefferson/Temple

Please, please let me know if you have heard anything! Have you gotten anything by email? By mail? When are interviews? Have they stopped notifying people?

PS. I got into the NYIT BS/DO program a while ago, not sure if I’m attending.

UMDNJ notifications come out April 1.

@boarderkid, what are your stats? I am trying to figure out what stats are needed to get into the NYIT BS/DO program.

@patrickstarr it’s not like you can change your stats much in one year, besides your test scores…

@TheBombingRange: Is that for the interview, or is that for their decisions? I wanted to know about their med school interview notifications.

@patrickstarr: Um, 2290 SAT, 3.75 GPA, bunch of medical volunteering and a bit of research. That’s pretty much about it, from what I can think of atm haha

@TheBombingRange, agree that I will not be able to change my stats much except for test scores. However, the info will help me decide which program to target my efforts to.

What are you looking at? I know you like DO programs…

@TheBombingRange, I am open to either BS/DO or BS/MD program. The BS/DO programs I am looking into include Stockton and Pitzer. Anyone applied to these?

@boarderkid I had my med interview Feb 1, notifications are April 1. I would call them to see what is going on, interviews should be finishing up. They gave me a months notice to the date of the interview.

@newdoc2020 did you apply to any other schools besides programs? ivies?

Princeton, Cornell, Caltech, MIT, and UChicago

Sorry about the delay in answering.
Yes, I was interviewed at Sophie. Waiting for the results.

@newdoc would you take Princeton over a BS/MD?
