Perhaps call tomorrow? Since interview is April 11 and plane fare goes up within 2 weeks of travel. Those of you who received invitation to interview at Baylor, is there a phone number you could give sadfeet?

@dumich dude you complained like you had no hope and you made it into Brown??? AWESOME!!! Hope you are celebrating as much as you were crying a while back - you deserve it! Yipeee!

How do you access brown decision?

Has anyone heard back from the Sophie Davis Program? Past discussions from previous years got notifications around this time.

Midhelper…I wasn’t complaining at all…I have the fortune of a number of acceptances…I was hopeful of a quality playing field that would enable many/all applicants to have success. I was never worried about me…I am a camaraderie advocate and NOT into TOOTING my own horn. As the cycle closes, I felt obliged to inform my brethren. I still think the interview parameters/numbers at Rochester/Miami/Baylor are NOT fair to the individuals who can barely afford to apply, much less fly in and indulge others EGOS.

Congratulations! I am delighted to inform you that the Board of Admission has voted to admit you to Brown University’s Class of 2018 and to the Program in Liberal Medical Education of Brown University. The Class of 2018 is an extraordinarily talented group of students. Each of you was chosen not only for what you can contribute to our academic community, but also for what you will gain from the wonderful opportunities at Brown.

You will receive an official admission decision letter and packet in the mail. Be sure to visit our website for admitted students to learn more about Brown, including information about our campus visitation program: A Day on College Hill. If you are a candidate for financial aid, information regarding your financial aid award is available online. We encourage you to contact the Office of Financial Aid with any questions.

Please know that prior to your enrollment next fall we expect you to maintain academic and social records of the same high quality that you have demonstrated in your career thus far. If you have any questions between now and your matriculation, do not hesitate to contact us.

On behalf of the entire Brown community, please accept my congratulations on your admission and I look forward to welcoming you to campus next fall.

Yours sincerely,

James S. Miller
Dean of Admission

P.S. I will IMMEDIATELY notify the other programs to facilitate their waiting list process to open…wishing all good days ahead. Appreciate all the congrats…I am blessed!

Congrats @dumich On PLME! Great job, that’s truly impressive.

@MedAspirant : Sorry about not getting accepted to any BA/MD Program, I know how you feel, but I cant share the same success you’re having with regular undergraduate schools! Clearly the programs are missing out on something, and you have plenty of options, so dont be too upset!

@SLCMom - I called Rice but they did not know when Baylor would send it out by. I emailed Baylor and will probably call them tomorrow if I don’t hear anything from them by tomorrow.

@sadfeet
Best of luck!

Harvard or HPME? Big question looming up. Life was so much simpler before today when HPME was the clear option. Any thoughts?

great choices and it depends on finances and how sure one is about medicine.

HPME medicine part has not much financial aid. As a private school it is quite expensive. However, if one is sure about going to medical school, it is a better choice than just undergrad at Harvard.

@dumich congrats for your PLME. what about your REMS?

do some people get into brown but not plme? havent heard of many cases of denied plme but accepted brown

@AspiringStudent, I am wondering about the same thing too. I am waitlisted at Brown and a PLME applicant

HPM acceptances from Univ of Miami are out!

congrats to Miami acceptances!

Does anyone know when specifically Rutgers/NJMS notifies you about the program decision? I know its sometime in the first week of April but is there a more specific date or time?

Last year, Dr. Shevlin personally calls all accepted TCNJ/Rutgers applicants on April 1.

anyone make facebook group for miami?

@dumich But I thought Dr. Shevlin was only TCNJ. Does he call for Rutgers Newark also?
