PA here.

Midhelper, I told my S he only need one, but as each rejection comes through, I am getting deflated a little.

If you are rejected, it means that you are not a good fit for the program. It is like a marriage. The program wants someone whom it thinks will be a good fit and if you are accepted into more than one programs, you will be evaluating which one is a better fit for you. Things will always work out the way it should. For example, my son applied to a number of accelerated programs, not because he wants to be in accelerated programs and we do not think he is a good fit for accelerated programs. However, he applied just to make sure he has the maximum chance. Well, the selection committee members probably also felt he was not a fit. That is why all the 3+4 programs he applied to rejected him and I am okay with that and he is also okay with that since we both feel that he is not a good fit.

IMGDAD, well said. Thanks.

We’re in UT.

To date: 5 rejections (Alabama EMSAP, Penn State/Jefferson, Case Western PPSP, GW/GW and Lehigh/DUCOM) and 2 interview invitations (haven’t gone to either yet - Miami HPME and Cincinnati DAP).

Bracing for Rochester REMS snail mail (rejection) since we haven’t seen any email invitation for interview; thanks to all the posts at least it won’t be a horrible surprise but would be a disappointment as that is among daughter’s top choices and she thought it would be a good fit for her (she loves research).

Ah well, not complaining, we’re grateful to get the opportunities to interview and daughter is prepared for the worst case of NOT getting into ANY (she is shy with strangers so interviews are difficult for her). As IMGDAD very wisely said, she will get where she needs to go by one path or another. Again, THANKS to everyone for all the information and support and best of luck to everyone!

still waiting for GW/GW , reject from Drexel (first med reject :o)

For those who got messsage from Kean saying theyre app has been forwarded to Drexel, who did the email come from? Was it a mass email or was it from a specific person?

Yep, rejected from REMS

Annnnnnd 30 seconds later rejected from Drexel/Drexel…

Rejected from 3 programs today…not a good day… :(

@MedicalBoy, sorry about the rejections. I thought you have some med school interviews coming up, right?

Yeah. I have my BU one tomorrow and the Penn State one Feb. 12.

Is it a policy for drexel to pick just one undergraduate college for the student?

sorry about the rejections everyone
@medicalboy, this is what I suspected about REMS… bracing for the snail mail.

@medicalboy - shoot! Sorry to hear but at least you have a shot at BU and Penn state - good luck with those interviews! Practice!

Just got the drexel/drexel rejection email which we already knew from UG portal. It does say that there is an early assurance option to apply after 2nd year. At 67K a year though - not sure about that. Still waiting on AMC - maybe an interview there?

@Midhelper, sorry about the rejection. So now down to Union/AMC, RPI/AMC and Nova Southeastern? Good luck.

they rejected a ton of people for drexel / drexel , more than i expected

drexel ug forwarded 600 applications to DUCOM and for how many positions? As a parent I feel scammed and I willingly, knowingly walked right into it.

Yes IMGDAD. and the nova southeastern is thanks to you.

wow, I would think 30-40 positions since drexel is such a big school, so id assume 100 interviews

they just want $160 or whatever it is from people which is the reason why they make everyone fill out the new application fee for no reason

@actsat2400, you are correct about Drexel. But again it is probably better to have the opportunity to pay than not even have the opportunity to pay, in a very convoluted way!

haha thats true too, many applicants dont get even the chance to pay the application fee.

Also, I called GW asking when I was going to get my notification for the interview, and she put me on hold for 10 minutes, and then finally asked for my first and last name and university ID number and said that I would be recieiving an email in the next few days?.. Any thoughts on that??
