It’s interesting that nobody has posted stats this year, I think everybody is starting to realize chancing based on stats is just not worth it for BS/MD programs.

@thejerseygirl- Congrats!! I just got my acceptance to Drexel and the honors college as well

And yeah these programs are crazy, you never know which ones you’ll get into, so no point in chancing anyways.

yeah, stats are pretty much out equal to everything else once the minimum requirements are met and you can never tell what the results will be.

my drexel status still says “Thank you for your application. Your file is currently complete and under review.” siigghhh

also, did you have to apply to the honors college separately?? I don’t seem to recall anything about that specifically…

@GreenSage, lol chillax bro. they automatically consider you for it, as well as merit scholarship

@GreenSage Drexel automatically accepted me into the Honors College without me filling out a separate application. They also gave me a merit scholarship along with my acceptance!

@luking, You received interview invitations for SBU and VCU? Email or snail mail?
Thanks!

@lukingformed, VCU notified for interviews already??

Congrats lukingformed…when is vcu interviewing. Did anyone else hear from them.

How many have heard back from TCNJ or Rutgers for an interview? I haven’t heard anything yet, and I’m going on vacation this Saturday. What if they call? How do they contact you?
:(

You might want to call them and INQUIRE as to their approximate CALENDAR and METHODS of notice…a relative appropriate inquiry at this time of the cycle!

@bioguy TCNJ called my cell phone a little over a week ago.

They still haven’t sent me a confirmation email although they scheduled an interview with me over the phone. Is anyone else experiencing this delay?

@bioguy I also had my TCNJ interview. They alluded to the fact that they would not be conducting interviews over the 2-week holiday, and that everyone will be finished only in February, so I would wait until mid to late-January to hear back from them. They are doing it on a person to person basis I think, so it’ll take some time. Good luck :)

My son got notification that his application has been forwarded to the Medical College at VCU for consideration. Also got a notification of the new Biomedical Engineering/MD program. My son has switched to that option.

My son got the supplemental app from Union/AMC. Waiting on Sienna and RPI.

@biomedfather, rpi notifications should be a bit late this year, because they had so much initial trouble with the CA and everything.

@biomedfather, when did your son send the midyear school report to Union? My son went online to check his application status to the LIM program at Union, but it showed that his application is incomplete because Union is still waiting for the midyear school report to complete his application so that the application can be considered.

@biomedfather when did he get the Union/AMC supp? The reason I am asking is because when we heard everyone getting these supplements from AMC on Wed. we logged on to application status check for Union and it said that his application has made past the first phase and has been forwarded to Albany for LIM.

@IMGDAD I am pretty sure my S did not send any midyear report since their semester doesn’t even end until mid Jan. If counselor did it at quarter end we are not aware of it. We did submit the CSS profile though.

@Midhelper, thank you. Have many students been invited to submit the Union/AMC supplemental? When I went onto my son’s account on the Application Portal myself, I saw that the midyear school report is actually not due until February 8. So it looks like the decision for interview is made without the midyear school report, again raising the question of the relevance of the midyear school report for some of the colleges (certainly UMKC has not asked for any midyear school report!). With that, I can only assume that my son has not been picked to submit the supplemental, at least for the first round of consideration.

I really confused about the mid year reports because none of the colleges have asked me for them yet. I also heard nothing from Union even though I got the AMC supplemental for them. And i can’t check anything on their website because I applied though the common app and therefore, do not have an account. Is there any way to find out my app status or what else i need to submit? I feel like no one will even be in the office until after new years so I’m not sure.

@IMGDAD, not to worry! There is still time. AMC only sent out the first round of Union/AMC supplements, so there are more to come (I’m guessing based on previous years it’ll be towards the end of the holidays/ start of january when everyone’s back in the office).
