<p>Director of Admissions where? For undergrad? Because they know like nothing, since they NEVER have to deal with students entering the SFM programs since they only draws students from the Honors, WISE, and Engineering application pools, which are admitted by the respective programs, not by the school in general. If the Dean of Admissions for the SOM, Dr. Jack Fuhrer, told you that, then I would believe you. I was told in-person by the Assistant Dean of Admissions who basically runs the program, Grace Agnetti, that around 25 are interviewed each year and 12 are accepted. </p>

<p>Where did you hear that? I know regular Northwestern decisions came out today. HPME isn’t supposed to notify until April 1. But, it would make sense that if you didn’t get into undergraduate NU, you aren’t going to get into HPME.</p>

<p>It is strange, but the theory is that NU feels that an applicant who was strong enough to get an interview for HPME, but is not wanted by HPME, will not go to Northwestern without HPME. Thus, they waitlist them for undergraduate, because they don’t want them to take us somebody else’s spot.</p>
<p>^i don’t know about that. I know alot of people who were rejected from HPME but ended up doing premed at NU</p>

<p>Yeah, it is only a theory and I’m sure it doesn’t always apply, but it really doesn’t make sense that someone strong enough to get an interview for HPME isn’t accepted into regular undergrad at NU. </p>

<p>Thank you! As far as financial aid goes, I have no clue. The acceptance letter didn’t mention anything about financial aid or any kind of award.</p>

<p>Did anyone who got rejected from HPME, didn’t get an interview, get into Northwestern undergrad normal? And if so did you send additional information or just email them saying that you were still interested in Northwestern?</p>
